God is Good

Source: God is Good

I’m not sure if you noticed but I didn’t put my weekly devotional out on Sunday.  I had surgery.  I’m safe, home, healthy and healing.  But, I am being forced to have a lazy week.  I came across this picture on pinterest. After clicking on it and reading the post, I knew I wanted to share it here on my own blog.

If you click on the little blue link above that says “God is Good” you can read it too.

I hope everyone is having a good week, and if you’re not just remember: God is still good.  No matter what the circumstances.

  1. He is truly our Good, Good, Father. Actually, he’s even better than we can imagine because our vision of him is blurred by the lies the enemy planted in our hearts. As CS Lewis noted: “Not that I am (I think) in much danger of ceasing to believe in God. The real danger is of coming to believe such dreadful things about Him. The conclusion I dread is not ‘So there’s no God after all,’ but ‘So this is what God’s really like.”

    • Thanks for the C.S Lewis quote- I agree, we have to remember He is so much better than anything we can imagine. So good!! I think sometimes we add to what we believe Him to be based on our own knowledge of this world…and He is greater than the world.

      • When we go back in the story we see that there was one who gossiped about our Father; convinced us he doesn’t care, doesn’t love, doesn’t desire our good. Those lies have seeped into every heart. That’s why Jesus’ primary mission was to reveal the truth about God.
